PDMS SCHEDULE - FALL 2007 Classes are forming for Spring semester. Please call for details.
Piping Equipment and Design By completion of this course users should be able to create and edit 3d equipment model elements, piping systems and piping components. They shouldalso be able to maintain corporate hierarchy and naming standards. Prerequisites for this class include: Experience or training in piping design standards and work practices common to the Petro-chemical and offshore design industry. Familiarity with Windows operating system and mouse functions.
Course content to include: Introduction to the Design module Controlling the display The Equipment application Hierarchy and naming conventions Creating and editing equipment and primitives The Piping application Creating and editing piping systems and components Data consistency checking Clash detection Isometric generation
Structural Design By completion of this course users should be able to create and edit 3d structural model elements. They should also be able to maintain corporate hierarchy and naming standards.
Prerequisites for this class include; Experience or training in structural design standards and work practices common to the Petro-chemical and offshore design industry. Familiarity with Windows operating system and mouse functions.
Course content to include; Introduction to the Design module Controlling the display The Structural Beams & Columns application The Panels and Plates application The Access Stairs and Ladders application Hierarchy and naming conventions Creating and editing structural elements Clash detection Curved Steel Clash Detection
Drawing Production By completion of this course users should be able to create and edit basic orthographic drawings from the 3d model. They should also be able to complete the drawings using the dimensioning, labeling, and 2d applications.
Prerequisites for this class include; Experience or training in corporate drafting standards common to the Petrochemical and offshore design industry. Familiarity with Windows operating system and mouse functions. And completion of one of the PDMS Design module courses, or direct work experience with PDMS.
