Internet Fundamentals  (ITNW 1007)

Introduction to the Internet includes learning about e-mail, home pages and how to perform basic research to address company/business needs. This class is a basic study of Web browsing and executing e-mail on the personal computer. Students will study theory and concepts and will practice the functions provided by the major Internet browsers. Topics will include how to find the proper ISP for home use, finding information on areas of interest using the Internet as a tool, how to use search engines, keeping in touch by using e-mail systems and utilizing queries for gathering personal information. Textbook required.
